For the production of colorants different dry materials have to be mixed. As well during the dosage process and upon use of various blenders as in the production process and upon packing, dust occurs.

This dust can be explosive and therefore must be vacuumed off absolutely already during the process.

To cater for the most different processes and to guarantee an optimum production, we installed three vacuum extensions with gas pressure dampers fixed on the outer side. Due to that the dust-containing air is allowed to flow within the electrically leading tube and directly into the piping system without annoying joints. The suction funnel is provided with a high-grade steel isolation flap which can shut tightly. With this facility a large area can be vacuumed off easily by each utility.

The piping system itself was laid out so that two suction ports can vacuum at the same time. The whole piping system consists of steel pipess with single segments and is earthed all together.

Within the piping system an explosion protection flap is mounted to prevent a pressure discharge into the hall in case of a dust explosion.

The filter system is a tube – cartridge de-duster with a total of 52 ms ² filter surface and built in ventilating fan.

In the raw gas area a rupture disk is inserted for pressure discharge into the open in case of a dust explosion.

The switch-board is mounted besides the filter system and contains all necessary elements for the control of the ventilating fan as well as the filter, plus contains a difference pressure gauge.

The automatic filter cleaning by means of air pressure may be directed through the difference pressure or time control. The control unit allows both.

The material is collected in an interlinked and mobile material container and is discharged  upon requirement.

The whole arrangement corresponds to the latest ATEX regulations.
